Envisat Data
Data Collections
All Envisat collections, in accordance with ESA Earth Observation Data Policy, are freely available. Read more about the available collections, and the registration process which is required to access them, for each Envisat instrument:
Data Tools
A number of tools are available for visualising, processing and analysing Envisat data.
Atmospheric Toolbox
The Atmospheric Toolbox (also known as BEAT) is a collection of executable tools and an application programming interface (API) which has been developed to facilitate the utilisation, viewing and processing of missions including Envisat, for GOMOS, MIPAS and SCIAMACHY.
BRAT
Broadview Radar Altimetry Toolbox (BRAT) is an extensive tutorial on what is altimetry, techniques used and examples of usage of data; plus software to read, process and visualise altimetry data.
Sentinel-1 Toolbox
The Sentinel-1 Toolbox consists of a collection of processing tools, data product readers and writers and a display and analysis application to support the large archive of data from ESA SAR missions.
Sentinel-3 Toolbox
The Sentinel-3 Toolbox consists of a rich set of visualisation, analysis and processing tools that supports ESA missions including Envisat (MERIS and AATSR).
SNAP
The Sentinel Application Platform (SNAP) is a common architecture for all Sentinel Toolboxes and is ideal for Earth Observation processing and analysis.
PolSARpro
PolSARpro (Polarimetric SAR data Processing and Education Toolbox) supports the scientific exploitation of polarimetric SAR data and is a tool for high-level education in radar polarimetry.
HEDAVI
The HEDAVI (HEritage DAta Visualisation) service enables users to discover a wealth of heritage data from ESA's ERS and Envisat missions, as well as from Landsat-5 and Landsat-7.
ODESA
The ODESA (Optical Data processor of the European Space Agency) system intends to provide users with a complete level 2 processing environment for the MERIS instrument.
SciaL1C Command-line Tool
The SCIAMACHY Calibration and Extraction Tool SciaL1c is an application provided for the users of SCIAMACHY Level 1b products. This application allows you to select specific calibrations to apply to Level 1b data.
CFI software
The Earth Observation CFI software is a collection of precompiled C libraries for timing, coordinate conversions, orbit propagation, satellite pointing calculations, and target visibility calculations.
Data Quality
Quality Control is monitoring routinely the status of the spacecraft (payload and platform) and to check if the derived products meet the quality requirements along mission life-time.
