Fires in Sacramento (California), 2018

These images, acquired by the Landsat 8 OLI and Sentinel-2 satellites, show the fires north of Sacramento over a period of one week. The Landsat 8 image, processed in false colour, highlights the fire's intensity. The same area is visible in the image acquired by Sentinel-2, where large columns of smoke can be seen, showing the extensive area destroyed by the fires.
