Cape Town's Urban Evolution: A Satellite Perspective from 2000 to 2019

These satellite images showcase the urban changes of Cape Town and its surrounding areas. The first pair of images shows changes from 2000 to 2016, while the second pair, covering a slightly smaller area, shows changes from 2000 to 2019. The comparisons clearly demonstrate significant development in the city, especially in the northeast and along the south coast near False Bay. Located between the ocean and mountains, Cape Town is the capital of the Western Cape Province in South Africa.
