Flood in Türkiye, December 2001

In December 2001, Türkiye's Mediterranean province of Mersin experienced heavy rainfall leading to significant flooding, damage to crops, roads, and power networks, and necessitated evacuations. These satellite images depict the affected areas before and after the flood. The last image is a multi-temporal depiction, highlighting the most evident changes from the flood, with areas submerged shown in blue.
