Production delay to CryoSat Intermediate Ocean Products – Resolved

The delay in the delivery of auxiliary data has been resolved and CryoSat Intermediate Ocean Products (IOP) are now being generated at normal operational latency (2-3 days after data acquisition).
Swarm missing data on 23-26 October 2024 recovered

We inform Swarm users that the issue occurred on 23 October 2024, that caused an interruption of L1B and L2-Cat2 data generation between 23 and 26 October, has been solved and the production has been recovered.

Reprocessing of Swarm L2-Cat2 EEF product with new version

We inform Swarm users that reprocessing of Swarm L2-Cat2 EEF data, with the new version 0305, is ongoing. This release will fix the issue of missing EEF data and has been validated against the independent JULIA radar measurements.
Missing L1B and L2 production from 23 October 2024

We inform Swarm users that, due to an issue detected with some input data, the production of both Swarm L1B and L2-Cat2 data production is interrupted from 23 October 2024. The recovery is ongoing and data will be available soon.
Swarm Alpha VFM anomaly from 3 to 8 October 2024

Due to an issue registered on the VFM (Vector Field Magnetometer) on board Swarm Alpha, several gaps have been identified in the VFM science data from 3 October at 22:06 UTC to 8 October at 07:08 UTC.
Replacement of CryoSat-2 magnetometer data on Swarm dissemination server

The CryoSat-2 magnetometer dataset with product baseline and file counter 0303 recently published on Swarm Dissemination Server has been replaced to fix an issue found in the interpolation of the position, which led to errors up to 2 km in the radial direction.

Due to an upcoming inclination control manoeuvre to be conducted by JAXA on the GOSAT-2 satellite, the FTS-2 sensor observations will be suspended from Friday 10 May to Friday 31 May 2024.
Swarm Bravo on-board anomaly on 10 April 2024

Improved data latency for FAST data generation over Northern Europe

We are pleased to announce that thanks to the effort of the Swarm Flight Operations Team and DISC partners, a down-link optimisation strategy to reduce the latency of Swarm FAST data acquired over Northern Europe was implemented on 11 March 2024.
SMOS data distribution resumed
