ATSR Products Information

The information provided in this page is applicable to the latest ATSR-1 and ATSR-2 Level 1B products.

 

ATSR Fourth Reprocessing Dataset Information

The latest products are from the Fourth (A)ATSR Reprocessing, completed in 2022. This introduced some key improvements:

  • Generation of new ATSR-1 and ATSR-2 Level 1B products in SLSTR-like format (NetCDF4)
  • Improved surface classification via use of the Sentinel-3 Land Water Masks
  • New Uncertainty Estimates
  • Improved cloud flags due to a correction in the the ATSR-1 and ATSR-2 Cloud processing ADFs
  • ATSR-1 and ATSR-2 L1B products are now ortho-geolocated to a DEM for the first time

ATSR-1 and ATSR-2 Product Availability

 

Level 2 Products

Fourth Reprocessing Level 2 products will be generated by the ESA CCI SST and LST teams in their own time frame.

 

ATSR Third Reprocessing Dataset Information

Third Reprocessing products are still currently available on the NEODC archive via CEDA. Note that these products have been superseded by both the Fourth Reprocessing dataset and products from the ESA CCI teams.

  • Gridded L1B Brightness Temperature and Reflectance measurement (TOA) product
  • Averaged Surface Temperature (AR) product
  • Gridded L2 Surface Temperature (NR) product
  • Three Band Colour Composite Browse (AST) Product
  • L2P/L3U SST products
  • Level 3 SST Products from ARC
  • Sea Surface Temperature Meteo (MET) product
