The CryoSat User Tool (CUT) is an application for displaying and downloading CryoSat products from remote FTP servers or from local directories.

A new version of CUT is now available. It uses a dedicated FTPS account to download ROEF (Reference Orbit Event Files) from the Cal/Val server.

Installation of CUT requires administrator privileges on your device.

Access to the FTPS also requires a password. Please send an e-mail to EOHelp@esa.int to obtain this password.

Configure your connection to the FTPS in CUT (under Edit -> Properties) as follows:

• Server: ftppds-hispeed.cryosat.esa.int
• User Name: ground
• Password: (the password obtained from eohelp)
• Port: 990
• Root Directory: ReferenceOrbitForCUT
• Transfer Mode: Passive
• Encryption: Implicit

To verify your connection to the Cal/Val server, click "Help -> Check for ROEF Updates"
