COSMO-SkyMed Sample Data
COSMO-SkyMed First Generation data collections consist of X-Band SAR products from the constellation's four acquisition modes:
- Stripmap Himage - Swath width of 40 km
- Stripmap PingPong - Swath width of 30 km
- ScanSAR Wide - Swath width of 100 km
- ScanSAR Huge - Swath width of 200 km
For each acquisition mode, the products are produced to three processing levels:
- Single-look Complex Slant (SCS) - Level-1A
- Detected Ground Multi-look (DGM) - Level-1B
- Geocoded Ellipsoid Corrected (GEC) - Level-1C
Samples of the COSMO-SkyMed First Generation standard products are available over ESA's test site at Neustrelitz in Germany, which you can use to preview what the data collections offer in order to assess their type and resolution. If you would like to compare COSMO-SkyMed products with other missions, download sample data from other Third Party Missions.
Each sample data ZIP file contains a .HDF file of the processed product, and specifications of the acquired scene.

If these samples suit your requirements, learn more about the COSMO-SkyMed data collections and find out how to download products from this mission:
COSMO-SkyMed First Generation products are open for research and application development projects only to users located in the territory of ESA Member States (including Canada), in the European Commission Member States and in Africa, upon submission of a Project Proposal subject to evaluation and acceptance by ESA and the data owner.
Products distributed via ESA dissemination services – nominally those available in the ESA archive collections – are published in EO-SIP format, which is a package that contains the metadata file, browse images, and original data in their native format.
