COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation Sample Data

COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation data collections consist of X-Band SAR products from the constellation's five acquisition modes:

  • Stripmap - Swath width of 40 km
  • PingPong - Swath width of 30 km
  • Quad Pol - 40 km
  • ScanSAR-1 - Swath width of 100 km
  • ScanSAR-2 - Swath width of 200 km


For each acquisition mode, the products are produced to four processing levels:

  • Single-look Complex Slant (SCS) - Level-1A
  • Detected Ground Multi-look (DGM) - Level-1B
  • Geocoded Ellipsoid Corrected (GEC) - Level-1C
  • GTC Geocoded Terrain Corrected

Samples of the COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation standard products are available over ESA's test site at Neustrelitz in Germany, which you can use to preview what the data collections offer in order to assess their type and resolution. If you would like to compare COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation products with other missions, download sample data from other Third Party Missions.
