Nicosia's Urban Evolution: A Satellite Perspective from 1984 to 2014

Captured over a 30-year period by the Landsat 5 and 8 satellites, these images illustrate the urban transformation in Nicosia, focusing on the changes from the West area under the Greek Government to the East area governed by the Turkish-Cypriot authorities. Nicosia, the capital and largest city of Cyprus, serves as the main business centre. It is situated near the centre of the Mesaoria plain, along the banks of the River Pedieos.
