Madrid's Urban Evolution: A Satellite Perspective from 1984 to 2014

These satellite images depict the evolving urban landscape of Madrid and its surroundings. The first comparison was captured in 1984 and 2004, while the second in 1984 and 2014. The images clearly show the substantial growth the city has undergone, especially in its eastern and northeastern parts. The Barajas International Airport is visible as a bright area on the northeast side of the city.
