Lisbon's Urban Evolution: A Satellite Perspective from 1987 to 2014
These Landsat satellite images document the urban and terrain transformations in Lisbon over the years 1987, 2000, and 2014. Notable among these changes is the construction of the Vasco da Gama Bridge, a significant architectural feat completed in 1998. This cable-stayed bridge, spanning the Tagus River, connects Lisbon to its metropolitan area and is prominently visible in the images from 2000 and 2014.
