Doha's Urban Evolution: A Satellite Perspective from 1994 to 2017

These Landsat 5 and 8 satellite images, spanning over 23 years, capture Doha’s urban expansion. The development of artificial islands such as Marsa Arabia, Viva Bahriya, Porto Arabia, and Dana Island has notably transformed the city’s coastline. The images also highlight changes to Doha International Airport, showcasing the new Hamad International Airport, now situated on an artificial structure along the southern coast. Doha is the capital and largest city of Qatar.
